Artist Statement

I use digital photography to capture moments of light and shadow. Growing up in Northern California, I was surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Western landscape. Regardless of where I live, the intensity and sweep of the West remains a draw and inspiration.

I continue to hone my craft and actively seek instances where a mood is created by the simple interplay of light, shadow, reflection or silhouette. My goal is to draw the observer into the image to pause, consider and interpret.
